Audiocenter powers the Sound for Tacloban City Convention Center

The Tacloban City Convention Centre, also known as the Tacloban Astrodome or the Tacloban City Coliseum, is an indoor arena located in Tacloban, Philippines. Tacloban City serves as the regional centre of the region of Eastern Visayas in the Philippines with the seating capacity of 4,500, after the recent approval from the local mayor to upgrade the sound system for convention centre (Astrodome).

MusicPro Electronics based in Tacloban took up this duty to install and pitch for this project with the support of Kolin Electronics Company, Inc. distributor of Audiocenter for Philippines. Kolin Electronics Company, Inc. supported MusicPro Electronics with supply of Audiocenter products.

Audiocenter K-LA210-DSP was selected for this project, which is a Active Dual 10″ line array cabinet with horizontal coverage of 100-degree Symmetric directivity output together with a smooth tonal response free of any secondary lobes to get more even coverage across the venue. In designing a venue, speaker position is one of the most crucial criteria for a good sound; a total of 30 KLA210DSP were used for this install which was strategically planned to coverage the whole Astrodome with 360 degree coverage. Each hang cSonsist of 5 units of K-LA210-DSP cabinets.

The performance of the Audio system has been recognized and praised by the management of Tacloban City Convention Centre, delighted with the highly controlled, high SPL and even coverage across all Astrodome. The management of the Tacloban City Convention Centre was very pleased with the final outcome of the Audio installation and congratulated the MusicPro Electronics team behind the project.
